FAQs

My child is * age, what programs do you have?

How do I register to join?

Before you can join any competitions or training programs, you must complete the compulsory player registration. This covers players from when they register until 31st December of that year. This can be completed at www.futsalballarat.com.au/competitions/player-registration/. Once this is complete, players will be approved and added into the Futsal Ballarat system.

If a child is interested in futsal and would like to try, they can do a come and try session before committing to the entire term. To sign up for a trial please see  www.futsalballarat.com.au/classes/. Players cannot trial in our competitions and must be registered to play.

My child is looking to join a team what do I do?

There are a few different ways to join a team, however the easiest and quickest way is to form a team with his friends and register a full team. If you are new to the area or unable to get enough for a full team, you can join the waiting list and we will try to find a team to join however we cannot guarantee there is space available.

To join the waiting list please see https://www.futsalballarat.com.au/competitions/waiting-list

How do I enter a whole new team?

You can register a team at www.futsalballarat.com.au/competitions/team-registration/

Do I have to train and play?

Players can choose to either just train, play or are able to do both. We would reccomend any new players join our development training programs as a great way to be introduced to the key futsal skills as well as begin to learn the rules and game sense.

What costs are involved?

  • There is a compulsory player registration fee of $150 that covers players until 31st December of the year registered. This is mandatory as per Football Victoria and is to be paid before participating in any Futsal Ballarat competitions or training programs.
  • Match Fees: Match fees must be paid UPFRONT on a termly basis. This will be calculated using the Match Fee x Number of Weeks in Term. The fees will be invoiced to the team manager and can be paid online via the invoice or with cash at the centre

What uniform do I wear?

Players joining the development training programs don't need to wear a specific uniform, all that is compulsory is runners or Futsal shoes as well as shinguards. However if you are playing in a team your team will need to wear matching kits and all players are required to wear shin guards in order to play.
